Definitions
Hammer-It : Hammer-It Online Auctioneers
Seller : Owner of the goods or duly authorised to sell on behalf of the owner
Item : Individual item or lot of goods to be sold
Basic Charges
35% on final selling value of item
Reserve fee of £5 for items up to £99.99 and £10 for items £100+ (refundable if item sells)
£50 listing fee (non refundable) for motor vehicles + fee of 5% of final selling price
£30 call out fee to photograph and / or collect items (refundable if item sells)
Hammer-It Obligations
Hammer-It accepts the items in this inventory for sale on Ebay or other auction or selling sites. Whilst in their care Hammer-It will pay due care and attention to the safe keeping of the item.
Hammer-It agrees to act as agent for the Seller and does not buy any items. We will remit final selling price minus commission to the Seller within 14 days of buyer receiving item in good working order.
Hammer-It will pay any ebay or other auction fees or credit cards / processing fees directly. We will run auctions for a minimum of 5-10 days. Items will be relisted at Hammer-It discretion.
Hammer-It undertakes not to publish the seller's personal details on any site or pass such information to any third party without the prior permission of the seller.
Hammer-It may from time to time contact the Seller with information about the Company's services but the Seller shall be given an opportunity to opt-out of receiving such information at any time.
Seller Obligations
The seller warrants that information given and statements made concerning description of items such as age, ownership, authenticity and working condition is correct. The seller agrees that in the event of them providing false information concerning an item causing its withdrawal from Ebay or return by the final buyer that a charge of £10 will be levied by Hammer-It to cover wasted time and costs
The seller understands that unless they pay a reserve fee all auctions start at 99p and that items will be sold to the highest bidder and that all auctions will run their course. The seller also understands that reserve fees are payable in advance and are only returnable if the item sells.
The seller confirms that he is the owner of the lot, or is properly authorised to sell the lot by the true owner, and that it is able to transfer full ownership of the lot to the buyer free from any other claim.
The seller undertakes to collect items not sold with 14 days of receiving notice of same by Hammer-It, and accepts that items not collected within this period will be donated to charity.
